Do what you say you are going to do

Do what you say you are going to do. At least don’t say what you are going to do until you know you can do it.

There are people who rely on you to do what you say you are going to do. You may think that you are doing someone a favor by saying you will do something, but if that person relies on that and you are unable to follow through, you are leaving them high and dry.

Of course, at some point, everyone will say they are going to do something and it turns out they are unable to do it. That is understandable. But if you find yourself not following through a lot, you might want to rethink what you are committing to.

The short and sweet of it is that people rely on you to do what you say you will do – if you are not sure, remember to under-promise and over-deliver.
